Muffles
MUFFLE, Clay—Colorado make. Muffles should always be ordered by letter, as, on account of small difference in the size of many muffles, description by letter reduces chance of error to a minimum. If necessary to give other specifications, give outside dimensions.
OVEN, Drying, Electric—A substantially constructed and well designed electric drying oven built of asbestos transite with aluminum frame and iron base. The special removable heating element covers the entire bottom. The thermostatic control will maintain any desired temperature from 95° to 110° C. The contact points are placed on the outside to eliminate danger when drying residues which give off inflammable gases.
A control switch and a pilot lamp permit adjustment of the thermostatic regulator quickly to the desired temperature. Adjustable ventilators are provided in the top and doors, and an opening for a thermometer. Inside dimensions, 18x12x14 inches. Complete with two adjustable shelves, engraved stem thermometer with range 0 to 150° C. and attachment cord and plug. Current consumption, about 800 watts.
OVEN, Drying, Double Wall—Of copper, with double walls. Ovens with single walls will reach a higher temperature than those with double walls, but the double walled ovens distribute heat more evenly, and maintain a more uniform temperature. For filling, the jacket is fitted with a tubulature. Without burner or thermometer.
